CSV Editor
How to use
An editable spreadsheet-style table for CSV data: click any cell to edit it, add or remove rows and columns, then export your changes back to a CSV file.
CSV / TSV input
- Making a quick fix to a data export, like correcting a typo, without opening Excel
- Manually adding or removing a column from a small dataset before sharing it
- Renaming header columns to match a target system's expected field names
- Building a small dataset from scratch in a spreadsheet-like grid, then exporting it as CSV
What happens to your data between opening and exporting
A CSV file has no types, no formatting and no formulas, only text split into cells. This editor shows it exactly that way: every cell is plain text, and nothing is converted to a number or a date behind your back. That matters more than it sounds. A spreadsheet application opening the same file might strip the leading zeros from a postcode or turn "3-4" into a date. Here, what you see in a cell is the exact text that will be written back.
The delimiter setting controls both how the file is read and how it is written. Comma is the default. Semicolon is what Excel produces in most of Europe, where the comma is the decimal mark. Choose the one your file uses before editing, or every row will appear as one long cell. On export, any value that contains the delimiter, a quote or a line break is wrapped in quotes and inner quotes are doubled, following the RFC 4180 convention, so the file reads back correctly in any tool.
Everything is held in this browser tab while you work. There is no automatic save, so export before closing the page. For files with many thousands of rows, a spreadsheet application or the CSV viewer is more comfortable. This editor suits the common job of opening a file, fixing some cells, adding or removing a column, and saving a clean copy.
Free and private. Everything runs on your own device, with no account and no uploads.
This interactive editor turns CSV or TSV data into a spreadsheet-style grid where you can edit cell values, add or remove rows and columns, and rename headers, then export the result as a new CSV file. It is useful for making quick fixes to a data export without opening a full spreadsheet application. All editing happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded until you choose to download the file.
No, this editor works with plain CSV/TSV text data, not binary Excel workbooks.
No automatic save happens; you export the edited table manually as a CSV file when you are done.
Yes, header cells in the top row are editable text inputs just like any other cell.
The export uses whichever delimiter you selected, comma, tab, pipe, or semicolon.

- ·Export frequently while making a lot of edits, nothing is auto-saved, so a browser refresh loses unsaved changes.
- ·Pick your delimiter before you start heavy editing since switching it later re-parses the underlying text.
- ·Use this for small-to-medium edits; for large datasets a dedicated spreadsheet app will feel faster.
