QR Code Generator
How to use
Creates QR codes for links, plain text, Wi-Fi networks, contact cards and UPI payments, which any phone camera or UPI app can scan. Choose the type, fill in the details, adjust the size, colours and error-correction level, and download the code as a PNG.
Why use this tool
- Five kinds of code: a link, plain text, Wi-Fi details, a contact card, or a UPI payment request any UPI app can scan.
- Set the size, colours and error-correction level, so a code still scans when printed small or partly covered.
- The content is stored in the code itself, so it never expires and needs no account.
- A UPI payment code for a shop counter, stall or home business
- A Wi-Fi code for guests at a cafe, office or home
- A contact card code on a visiting card
- A link from a printed poster, menu or flyer to a web page
Free and private. Everything runs on your own device, with no account and no uploads.
A QR code stores its content directly in the pattern of squares, so the code works for as long as the content does, with no account and nothing that can expire. This generator makes codes for a web link, plain text, Wi-Fi network details, a contact card (vCard), or a UPI payment request that any UPI app can scan, with the size, colours and error-correction level you choose.
No. The content is stored in the code itself rather than behind a redirect service, so it keeps working as long as the link, network or UPI ID it contains does.
It encodes a standard UPI payment link containing your UPI ID, the name to display, and optionally a fixed amount in rupees and a note. Any UPI app, such as Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm, opens it with those details filled in, and the payer still confirms with their own PIN.
Only for a code used once, such as one printed on a specific invoice. A shop counter code should leave the amount empty so each customer enters what they owe.
No, and that is the point to remember. Scanning a UPI code always sends money from the person scanning. Anyone asking you to scan a code or enter your PIN so that you can receive a payment is attempting fraud.
It stores the network name, password and security type in a standard format that the camera apps on iPhone and Android recognise, so scanning it offers to join the network without typing the password.
No, only QR codes. Product barcodes such as EAN and UPC need a different generator and, for retail use, a registered number from GS1.
- 1
Choose what to encode
URL, plain text, Wi-Fi, vCard contact or UPI payment.
- 2
Fill in the details
For UPI, enter your UPI ID and the name payers should see; the amount and a note are optional.
- 3
Set size and error level
Raise the error-correction level for codes printed small or partly covered.
- 4
Generate, scan and download
Scan the result with a phone before you print it.
- ·Check a UPI code by scanning it with your own UPI app before printing: the name it shows should be yours.
- ·Raise the error-correction level to Q or H for codes printed small, laminated or with a logo placed over the middle.
- ·Keep dark squares on a light background. Inverted or low-contrast colour schemes look good and fail on many phone cameras.
