An SVG is a vector drawing, shapes and text described mathematically rather than as pixels, and a PDF can hold exactly the same kind of vector content. Converting SVG to PDF this way keeps logos, diagrams and illustrations perfectly sharp at any zoom and any print size, unlike rasterising them to PNG first. It is how printers, sign makers and document systems usually want vector artwork delivered.
Vector. Paths, fills, strokes and text are translated into PDF drawing commands, so the file stays sharp at any scale and is usually small.
The page matches the SVG's own width and height (or its viewBox when no size is set), converted from CSS pixels to points at 96 per inch.
Text is drawn with the fonts available to the PDF. If the SVG relies on an unusual web font, convert text to outlines in your design tool first for an exact result.
Common SVG features (gradients, clipping, masks, transforms, dashed strokes) convert well. Complex filter effects such as blurs have no PDF equivalent and may be simplified.
- 1
Add SVG files
Drop one or several .svg files.
- 2
Convert
Each SVG becomes a one-page PDF sized to the drawing.
- 3
Check the result
Zoom in: lines and text stay crisp because they are still vectors.
- 4
Download
Several SVGs download together as a ZIP of PDFs.
- ·Outline text in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape before converting if exact typography matters
- ·Set an explicit width and height on the SVG to control the PDF page size
- ·For a raster copy instead, use the SVG Converter to make PNG at any resolution
